형용사 ed/ing 구분
오늘 듣고 배운 내용은 아주 흥미로웠습니다.
제목은 아래와 같습니다.
Don’t make these mistakes when using English adjectives!
형용사에 ed를 붙이냐 아님 ing를 붙이냐에 따라 target이 달라진다 라는 얘기였습니다.
-ed
: Used to talk about feelings or emotions.
즉 ed를 붙이면 자신의 감정이나 느낌을 표현한 것이고
I’m bored. 내가 지금 지루한 상태임.
-ing
: Used to talk about the characteristics of a person, place, or thing.
ing를 붙이면 그 주어가 그렇게 느껴진다 라는 얘기입니다.
I’m boring. 누군가 보기에 내가 지루한 사람인 것 같다.

I’m excited to watch my favorite TV show because my favorite TV show is exciting.
excite, exciting이렇게 두 개가 쓰였는데
첫 번째는 내가 흥분된다 라는 얘기고, 두 번째는 TV show가 그렇게 느껴진다 라는 얘기입니다.
